Transportation is a key logistical piece of the Canoe Trip. When our old 15-passenger van died before last year's trip, we had to scramble to find a suitable alternative. Since then, we have been raising funds to replace our van. We are pleased to report that we met our original fundraising goal and purchased the replacement van in time for this year's trip, but its cost was $6,500 more than anticipated, so we are still looking for help.
Here are some opportunities to support this effort:
Direct Appeal
The Outdoor Ministries of South Church greatly appreciates and accepts all monetary donations towards our program. Please note that 100% of your tax-deductable donation benefits the Canoe Trip or the Van Fund (whichever you designate). We have no paid staff and incur no other expenses, as volunteers contribute their time and materials in order to make this trip happen—just as they have always done for the past 30 years. If our program has touched your life or that of someone you know, please consider a contribution.
Checks payable to "South Church - OMC" may be sent to South Church, Attn: Kevin Corliss at 20 Church Street, Newport, NH 03773. Thanks for your support.
